Unlike it’s functional predecessors, a penny box in its modern iteration is a novelty item. This penny box is a placeholder and memory of the genuine article. This is emphasized with the box’s ethereal, wispy appearance. This effect is further magnified by the irregular, semi-opaque, overlapping monoliths.
